Oh! Heavenly Dog

Oh Heavenly Dog is a 1980 comedy film written by Rod Browning. The film stars Benjean, billed here as Benji she was the daughter of Higgins, who originated the role of Benji, Chevy Chase, Jane Seymour and Omar Sharif. The film was directed by Joe Camp and released by 20th Century Fox.

The film was shot in London, Berlin and Paris. Because of Englands quarantine laws which required dogs to be in quarantine for six months a double for Benji was used in the London scenes.Outtakes and behindthescenes footage from this film were used in making the short feature Benji at Work 1980, a 30minute documentary about the career of Benjean as a dog actor. ........
